2018 Aubert & Mathieu: Limoux Chardonnay "Hors Piste"
The name "hors Piste"meaning off-trail or ungroomed trail usually used in skiing terminology makes this chardonnay appropriate for winter embibing. I personally don't ski but I sure do love this wine. Its a delicate and seductive Chardonnay, liveliness first and then a nice roundness, fat and a good length. Fruity citrus notes. France
2019 Illahe: Willamette Valley, OR Viognier
I am very in love with this wine- and the family behind it. This vinyard is horsepowered, solar powered, and uses as little technology as they can to create and transport this wine. They make a plethora of crazy good wines and I will definitely be showcasing more from them but this Viognier is a real treasure. Floral, citrussy, white flower and stone, delicate and hearty at the same time. Oregon
NV Patrice Colin: Pétillant Naturel "Perles Grises"
This organic sparkling wine is made with 100% Pineau d’Aunis, a uniquely refreshing grape found only in the northern Loire Valley. Pale pink with lovely raspberry and grapefruit flavors with overtones of nutmeg and cedar. Fruity and spicy with mid-bodied structure & balanced acidity. It’s a ‘pet nat’ so bottled while still fermenting, with no added yeast or sugar. As the fermentation finishes its carbon dioxide makes the wine bubbly. Perfect on its own or with food, this sparkling rosé works beautifully as an aperitif or throughout a meal. France

Such a beautiful, festive, lovely bottle! Aromas of fresh sour fruits, raspberry & redcurrant. Flavors of red fruit with a little juicy watermelon. Fleshy in the mouth while remaining tonic. The bubbles stay slim and elegant. This delicate pink sparkler makes a beautiful aperitif! (Try it paired with oysters, cured meats, or roasted chicken and cheeses like feta or chevre.) 2019 Durigutti: Cara Sucia Cereza
The grape variety Cereza, meaning “cherry”, is actually a white grape variety with a pink skin. and is often used to make rustic and deeply coloured white or rosé for the locals. So, it’s rarely makes it to these shores. However, Durigutti have an old-vine plot in Rivadavia that was planted in 1940, and they manage to extract a huge amount of colour from those concentrated grapes, creating a juicy and quite frankly mindboggling red wine. Cara Sucia means “dirty face”, inspired by the winemaking brothers who grew up on these dusty vineyards. But there’s nothing dirty about their wine. It’s aged in concrete eggs so there’s no oak to mask the vibrant fruit, and it’s bottled without filtering or fining. Try it chilled and with spicy food for the full effect of its amazingness.
